El Humanismo


¡¡¡¡Hola a todos!!!!!
Aquí os dejo información del humanismo, sé que ya hemos hecho el exámen de evaluación de historia y siento no haberlo podido subir antes, no pude 😅. Bueno, espero que os sirva de interés/ repaso.
The Humanism
The humanism was a philosophical and cultural movement that started in the 14th century in Italy .The main principles were:
o   Anthopocetrism: In medieval times, all moved around God. In Humanism, it was more interested in humans because, they thought that humans were the centre of the universe
o   Classical antiquity: Humanists studied Greek and Latin and they were inspired by philosophers of antiquity, like Pluto or Aristotle
o   Scientific curiosity: They were interested in science and technological progress. They wanted to understand the world by personal reflection and scientific experiments

The origin of humanism:
During the 15th century, it spread from three different regions:
o   Florence: Some famous humanists were: Niccolo Machiavelli (The Prince) and Marsilio Ficino (studied works of Plato)
o   Rome: Nicholas of Cusa and Silvio Piccolomini
o   Naples: Lorenzo Valla (found in the court of Alfonso V of Aragon)

Spread of humanism:
Humanism spread through Europe thank to:
o   The use of Romance languages: Humanists chose Spanish, French and Italian as their means of transmitting knowledge
o   The invention of printing press: This event changed humanity because they were allowed to printed any book and spread new ideas even faster
o   Schools and universities: Exchanged ideas and incorporated new thinking models to universities  

Humanists in Europe:
o   England: Thomas More
o   The Netherlands: Erasmus of Rotterdam
o   Spain: Antonio de Nebrija and Luis Vives
